The day is getting closer. Every training session, every match, brings us closer to one of the most important tournaments for Kaptiva Sports Academy. We know the draw for the MIC 2025! Do you want to know which teams make up the groups?
Although you can always check this and other information through the official channels of the tournament, we offer you a quick look at what concerns KSA. Our teams don’t have it easy, let’s see what we’re going to find.
Group stage draw
The draw for the group stage took place on the 10th of March. In this first stage, each category (U12, U13, U14, U15, U16, F16, U18, U19) is divided into several groups of 4 teams each.
All of them play each other in a single match, and the 1st and 2nd of the final classification go through to the next stage. The teams in third and fourth position will go through to the Consolation Phase.

Tournament schedule and program
Once the group phase has been completed, the Final Phase and the Consolation Phase take place. Both are played according to the cup system, i.e. by direct elimination. In case of a draw, they are decided without extra time, by penalties, according to IFAB rules of the game and FIFA standards.
As far as the program is concerned, it is already detailed what kind of activities there will be per day. On 14 April there will be training for 300 volunteers in different areas: competition, hotel, physio and communication.
The teams will arrive on the Costa Brava on 15 April. The Welcome Pack with the official MIC Football 2025 t-shirt will also be handed out. The competition will kick off on 16 April with an opening ceremony at the Estadi Municipal de Vilatenim, Figueres.
On the 17th, the group phase will end and the teams that will go through to the Final Phase and those that will go through to the Consolation Phase will be determined. On the 18th the knockout matches will begin and the International Day will be held in Palafruguell.
On Saturday 19th, the penultimate day of the tournament, the first 3 finals (U12B, U12A, F16) will be played. The remaining 6 finals (U14, U16, U18, U13, U19, U15) will be played on 20 April.

After a great performance at the Surf Cup 2024, the Kaptiva Sports Academy boys are now ready to face a new tournament. They have been training hard all these months to arrive in good shape, and although we already know the draw for the MIC 2025, it is not going to be easy to prepare for it.
Above all, the aim will always be to give them a great experience, from which they will surely learn about themselves, their own team and the other teams. The result, while important, is not the main thing.
We want everyone to return to KSA wanting to improve on their failures and analyse what they could have done differently, as well as celebrate what they have done well. Our coaches, tutors and team of psychologists will help them to manage all the emotions involved in a tournament of this kind.
