As we’ve mentioned in previous posts, Kaptiva Sports Academy offers a variety of options for U18 players who are leaving our academy and pursuing their professional careers through other avenues. That´s why KSA U18 players explore next-step opportunities at Real Betis Global Academy.
These players (Major Spiller and Emilio Almenas), who are nearing the end of their season in Kaptiva Sports Academy, will have time to consider whether they want to continue their careers with Real Betis. This is undoubtedly a unique opportunity, which comes on top of our partnership with Girona and a number of other programs that we’ll describe in more detail below.

KSA players visit the Real Betis Global Academy
The two players traveled to Seville accompanied by staff from Kaptiva Sports, who assisted them with all the arrangements and logistics for the visit. First, the players had the opportunity to learn about the university programs where they would continue their studies.
Later, they took a tour of the residence, another of the facilities where they would spend most of their time. But the highlight tour undoubtedly came next: Real Betis’ stadium, the Benito Villamarín. After taking a few photos and touring both the exterior and interior, it was time to visit the Rafael Gordillo Sports Complex.
Training field! This is definitely a major draw for young athletes. Although this wasn’t the first time for Kaptiva Sports Academy, since we’d already held a training clinic with Betis in the past, it was important to take a look at where they would train with the official coaches if they chose to pursue their athletic careers with the club.
The players were very positive about the visit. Now, as we mentioned, it’s time to reflect and make a decision. Whatever happens, we wish them the best of luck in their lives and their athletic careers!

KSA partners with Girona and other U18 football programs
As we mentioned at the beginning of the article, Real Betis isn’t the only option for U18 players leaving KSA. We also partner with Girona, where one of our former players is currently continuing his professional career through their 10-month program.
But we’d like to tell you about other U18 football programs that are also available, such as:
– Eture Gap Year Program: a transformative 9-month development program in Vinaròs, Spain, designed for international players seeking elite growth, professional training, and maximum exposure.
– Mad Agency College Scholarships: located in the United States, MAD Agency specializes in providing opportunities for talented football players to combine their passion for the sport with a quality college education in the United States.
– Keystone Sports College Scholarships: an educational consulting firm that guides families and student-athletes in finding the ideal U.S. college based on their academic and athletic profiles.
As you can see, there is plenty of life after Kaptiva. Our KSA U18 players explore next-step opportunities at Real Betis Global Academy, but there are many options that vary depending on the needs or preferences of each player or family. We invite you to learn all the details by contacting us.
