Our boys have an unavoidable appointment from April 15 to 20 on the Costa Brava. Nothing more and nothing less than the 23rd edition of the Mediterranean International Cup. This 2025, let the other teams get ready because in Kaptiva Sports Academy we are already training for MIC 2025.

We are aware of how demanding this tournament is, and all the effort it entails. It is not only necessary to prepare physically, but also mentally. But, first of all, it is important to detail what the tournament consists of.

MIC 2025

What is MIC?

The MIC is a grassroots soccer tournament for players born between 2006 and 2013. That is, there are categories from U12 to U19 and can be both men’s and women’s teams.

As usual, the tournament will feature a group stage, knockout stage, and consolation phase, with the finals taking place on the last day. It takes place during Easter and on the Costa Brava, so it is a privilege to be able to participate because of this special location.

The tournament has 25 years of history, starting in 2001 with 136 teams in the Canary Islands. Since then, it has not stopped growing to become what it is now: one of the most important international grassroots soccer tournaments in the world.

Taking care of mental health before and after the tournament

At Kaptiva Sports we are very proud to be able to participate with our Academy kids. For this, it is our duty to train and prepare them in all areas so that they perform well on the field.

In the same way, for us it is fundamental to take care of their mental health. For the players, it can be stressful to face a tournament like this. They face teams of a very high level and, of course, they can suffer defeats against them.

That is why we are not only concerned about mental health before tournaments, but also during and after tournaments. That said, it’s up to them and the coaches to train hard to go to the highest level.

Mediterranean International Cup

The important thing is the way

We want the kids to know that we are with them, that we support them to the end. We are not so much concerned about the result as we are that they enjoy themselves and have a good time. In the end, these events help strengthen the team bond.

Working together to achieve something should be the real goal. The road, the one where we meet friends for life, where we fall down and get up, is what matters.

At Kaptiva Sports Academy we are committed to the values of sportsmanship and team play. Our coaches, tutors and psychologists reinforce these concepts so that we all enjoy a healthy environment.

We are not only training for MIC 2025, we are training to be better on and off the field. But, after all, let’s go for it! Best of luck at the MIC!
