Sometimes, it’s said that you shouldn’t return to certain places where you’ve been very happy, to avoid tarnishing the memory. However, coming back to a place where you’re valued, where you can grow, and create new and even better memories is even more special. That’s why we’re proud at Kaptiva Sports Academy to announce the renewed players for the 2025/26 season.

What’s more, some of them are returning for their third year. For us, this is a sign that football brings us closer together every day. The values of this sport and the dedication of our coaches inspire our players to come back year after year.

Three years with KSA

As we’ve mentioned, there are players who felt that two years at Kaptiva Sports Academy wasn’t enough and are eager to continue growing. The desire to learn new techniques and dive deeper into the Kaptiva methodology are just a few of the driving factors.

For the 2025-2026 season, we’re excited to welcome back for their third year: Leo Huang from the United States (defender), Joshua Goliath from South Africa (midfielder), Nikita Burlakov from Bulgaria (midfielder), and Matias Rivera from the United States (midfielder).

In fact, Matias Rivera was named KSA’s Player of the Autumn in 2024. His relentless effort and skill with the ball have earned him this well-deserved recognition. You can watch his interview below:

New experience at the academy

On the other hand, players who enjoyed great victories and also faced some defeats last year are coming back home. But when we say “home,” we mean Kaptiva Sports Academy.

Each year at our academy is a completely different experience from the previous one. Some players have left, and new ones have arrived. It’s rewarding to see how our players get to know each other, learn from one another, and improve their teamwork.

For this and many other reasons, we’re excited to welcome back the players who have placed their trust in us once again: Caden Howe from the United States (midfielder), Anzhe Hsueh from Taiwan (attacker), Leonardo Popescu from Romania (midfielder), Major Spiller from the United States (goalkeeper), and Quentin Wilson from the United States (attacker).

Welcome back!

We want to thank all of them for the time they’ve spent at KSA. Together with the new players, we’ll face the upcoming tournaments. Regardless of the outcome, we’ll strengthen the relationships and bonds formed between them.

Because there are friendships that last a lifetime. And in this case, it’s football that brings us together and pushes us to go further. It’s also the driving force that makes us better both on and off the field. Thank you for being the renewed players for the 2025/26 season.

Welcome back, guys. Let’s finish the 24/25 season strong!
