The boys fought until the very end, even competing for the silver medal. In between, lots of wins, losses, sweat and locker room chats with our coaches. What else happened?

… Sha la la la la la la… Oh, Kaptiva…
In the video you can not only see the warm-up, dressing room and general shots of the venue, but you can also see the joy of the boys celebrating the victories.
What stood out the most was the penalty shootout victory on the second-to-last day of the tournament. It was nighttime, the floodlights lit up the field, and we were all silent, caught in the tension of the shootout.
But, as the pictures show, our team won and we all went a little crazy. The goalkeeper was waved at, the victory song was sung… all while the stars and the darkness of the night witnessed Kaptiva fighting another day.
More tournaments and events in Kaptiva Sports Academy
The Surf Cup 2024 was an accumulation of memories, experiences and anecdotes that we will never forget. But we have to look beyond, since there are other challenges on the way and we never stop learning to overcome them.
We have already told you in another post that the boys are a bit nervous and training for the MIC 2025. This tournament will take place from April 15 to 18, and will once again put them to the test against top level teams. Will they manage to win the trophy?
In order to do so, they are training hard with our coaches following the Kaptiva method. This methodology sets us apart from other academies because of its structure based on three fundamental pillars: games, questions, and concepts.
The boys enjoyed the Surf Cup and returned to KSA with stronger bonds
For us, it’s not so important to win a trophy as it is for the kids to enjoy themselves and learn. Of course, going to these high-level international tournaments is a challenge to be prepared for, but losing is not too much of a concern for KSA.
Above all, we want them to enjoy the values of football, live unique experiences, learn from their mistakes with us and team up with their teammates. This last point helps them see each other more as friends, as a family, and not just as teammates.
The tournaments help them to see each other’s problems, to understand where they fail in each match and to take victories and defeats in the right way. Thanks to our team of psychologists, we take care of their mental health and prepare them for this kind of tournaments and the results that may arise from them.
The help of families is also important to face the tournaments
Likewise, families can help them without putting too much pressure on them, and not focusing so much on the results of the games. A lot can be done at home to make the kids feel comfortable and understood.
