We have previously told you what Trials are all about. They are short programs to evaluate the skills of new players and students, and how they would fit in Kaptiva Sports Academy. Now, new kids are tested in the Trials to get into KSA.

Apart from their obvious importance for new families and players, they are also essential for those already residing at KSA. Why? If they wish to renew for another year but fail to do so in time, a new player accepted into the Trials will be able to take their spot at the academy.

KSA Trials

10 players measure their skills on and off the football pitch

Throughout the Trial, players and their families have the opportunity to meet our Kaptiva Sports Academy staff and the academic staff from the European International School of Barcelona personally. After a talk at the Welcome Day, one of our coaches explained all the KSA programs.

On this occasion, 10 boys eager to join the KSA family are being evaluated in different fields. On the one hand, the coaches work out football drills to determine the level on the football pitch. On the other hand, they also have to take an English test at the school to complete their admission. In addition, two days in the afternoon they train with our partner clubs: Mirasol, Sant Cugat and Junior.

Without a doubt, these new players come with a lot of strength and desire, and the decision will certainly not be easy. If they prove that they are capable of overcoming the Trials, they will have a place in the KSA residence, as long as they accept the rules and know how to get along with their teammates.

Secure your spot in KSA

As previously mentioned, those already in residence at KSA are not guaranteed a place for the following year unless families renew in time. If a new player passes the Trials and secures their place at the academy, another player who has not renewed in time may lose their place.

Recently 4 players have been accepted from the last Trials. Considering that the total number of places in the academy is 48, it is important to be aware of the deadlines and the interests of each player.

We encourage families to talk to the children to get their feedback. In the end, coaches, tutors or psychology staff can give our perspective, but a first-person testimony will be more revealing of what life and the experience at KSA is like. That may help to make a decision or another regarding continuity within KSA.

Remember, new kids are tested in the Trials to get into KSA, so be sure to secure your spot. If you have any questions regarding our programs, you can visit our website or contact us at any time.
