Next Wednesday, 5 November, could be a very important day for some players at Kaptiva Sports Academy. Why? KSA and Girona FC open new opportunities for our U18 players. They could continue their careers with this club because KSA has signed an agreement with Girona FC.

At Kaptiva Sports Academy, we strive to create opportunities for the young people who have been part of our DNA. So, when they turn 18 and walk through our doors, we make sure they don’t give up football and that they are supported by a renowned club.

training session with Girona

Next Wednesday, training session with Girona

Seven of our players will be leaving us next year. Specifically, we are talking about: Atai Omuraliev, Nikita Burlakov, Anzhe, Emilio, Ayden, Major, and Sepehr. All of them will have the opportunity next Wednesday, 5 November, to test their skills in a training session with Girona.

It will not only be about training, but also about seeing the Montilivi stadium and visiting the Nodis residence, among other things. The aim is for both the club and the KSA players to assess their interest in starting a journey together, increasing opportunities for both sides.

This will be the programme for next Wednesday, 5th November:

  • 10:30h/11:15h – Presentation of the programme in the press room at Montilvi Stadium
  • 11:15h/11:45h – Visit to Montilvi Stadium
  • 12h/13h – Training with grassroots football coaches in Torres de Palau
  • 14h/14:30h – Lunch at the ‘Les Hortes’ residence
  • 15h/15:45h – Visit to the Nodis residence

to remain connected to football

A unique experience to remain connected to football

One of our players already experienced this change last year. Hamadou Babine played for KSA last season and is currently continuing his career with Girona FC. Once both parties agreed, the procedure involved individual training sessions, training sessions with the team and with another regional team.

Of course, they also play matches, making it a complete and highly recommended experience at the end of our training. In addition, the track record of Girona FC, a first division team, is synonymous of footballing quality.

We will have to see what types of agreements are reached starting next Wednesday. But, in any case, they will take effect starting next season, 26/27. Above all, we wish all the boys a great season, both in terms of football and their studies and personal situations.

KSA and Girona FC open new opportunities for our U18 players, but this is only the first step in what is to come. If you have any questions about the opportunities available upon completion of KSA, please feel free to contact us at any time.
