Kaptiva Sports Academy in cooperation with the European International School of Barcelona Kaptiva Sports Academy is a place where soccer players come to take their game to the next level. Our elite soccer program expects our players to not only be invested in their soccer goals, but also their academic career. To do this, KSA has partnered with the European International School of Barcelona (European ISB) . European ISB has a program specialized for athletes and the main goal of that program is to “give all of our students the opportunity to achieve their goals, both personal and academic”. Because our goals for our players align with Europeans ISB’s goals for their students, they are the perfect school system to collaborate with. European ISB offers The University of Nebraska High School Diploma. This diploma is NCAA-approved, meaning it is recognized by colleges and universities nationwide. University of Nebraska High School stands on the top 10 best online high school diploma programs, making it the best options for our KSA players. The program respects each player’s practice and competition schedule and, at KSA, players attend school in the morning and train in the afternoon. The classes are offered in a more modern type of way: conducted both online and in the classroom to give students experience in both situations. European ISB wants their students to become responsible and their goal is to “train our athletes to achieve excellence in their human and intellectual development”. This academic program encourages our players to be more independent which, in turn, will bring out the very best in their soccer abilities. Classes offered: At European ISB, 9th grade is considered middle school and 10th through 12th are considered high school. English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies are offered all four years, rising in difficulty as school years are completed. Languages classes are taken 9th and 10th grade, career planning and multicultural studies classes are completed in 11th grade, and “Winning in the Workplace” is studied in the 12th grade. Four special request classes are offered to students: a SAT preparation course, Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), International English Language and Testing System (IELTS), and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). All classes are taught by teachers qualified in the specific subject and academic advice is provided to all students. European International School of Barcelona provides the best education for our Kaptiva Sports Academy players. Their goals line with ours as they push their students to be the best they can be. In turn, if our players are inspired in their academic career they will take their soccer to the next level. by Catherine Salone Norris]]>
