Kaptiva Sports Academy 2017-2018 The summer of 2017 presented itself an eventful one. Clubs paid exorbitant amounts of money for soccer players, FC Barcelona won the International Cup only to lose against Real Madrid in the final of the Spanish Super Copa, and “Despacito” became the most watched YouTube Video of all time. We have been equally busy with preparing our new season and signing our last players and renewed many others. Check it out on our Instagram profile. We had some positive suprises during the summer and some let downs. However, we are looking forward to one of the most competitive and complete seasons we ever had at Kaptiva Sports Academy. We have done various changes compared to previous years and share some of those here:
- We are welcoming a new coach to our staff. Joan Garcia, a UEFA Pro Coach will lead our U16 squad to glory (find his full profile on our website). A coach that will bring even more excellence, passion, and rigor to the program with his vast coaching experience on the highest youth levels.
- We are planning on going to an International Clinic this year. There are various places to choose from, but over the course of the next 2 months we will communicate our destination.
- We will conduct trials in a few places apart from Barcelona. Our main trial sessions will still be held in Barcelona, but we will offer trial sessions in Hong Kong, USA, and potentially Australia. If you cannot come to Barcelona, we will come to you. Bookmark the trials section on our website.
- We have a brand new residence hall dedicated to our players. They will emerge into campus living with this change and come together even further as a team.
