After the effort, dedication and commitment, there is also time for leisure and rest. The boys go to see FC Barcelona, a good game at the Estadi Olimpic de Montjuic Lluis Companys against Alavรฉs on Sunday, February 2. In addition, they had the opportunity to take a walk around the city and take a picture with the Sagrada Familia.
At Kaptiva Sports Academy we have weekend excursions at certain times of the year. Our tutors always make sure that these activities run smoothly so that the kids enjoy themselves. In this case, they certainly did.
Kaptiva Sports Academy visits Barcelona
Although the main purpose of the visit was the game, we did not miss the opportunity to walk around the center. Although some of them already knew the main points of interest, we stopped by the Sagrada Familia. As always, it was a hive of people and it was hard to get a photo, but it was mission accomplished.
Next, we headed to the Estadi Olimpic de Montjuic Lluis Companys. Camp Nou is currently under construction and, as you know, will be renamed Spotify Camp Nou. FC Barcelona, in order to finish the season, reserved the other stadium to play their games.
Many of the kids were equipped for the occasion, to cheer on FC Barcelona. They certainly studied the club’s and their opponent’s game in detail, comparing it with their training methods at Kaptiva Sports Academy. But above all, the kids enjoyed a different kind of Sunday outside the residence, surrounded again by the star sport, watching their favorite idols.
Great excitement during the match
In this experience, the result of the match was the least important thing. What was nice was to share such an excursion with the kids and to feel the excitement of first-class football together. Even so, we were able to return home with full hearts and happy spirits. Barรงa had won 1-0 against Alavรฉs, with a goal by Lewandowski, so the euphoria was at its peak.
In addition, the weather was fine on this very special Sunday, so everything went very well. After the match, it was time to return home to the residence. The boys had to rest to face the new week with strength, but surely they would be commenting on the experience and the development of the match for days.
Kaptiva Sports Academy had the boys back on the field on Monday, in the cool of the morning. The coaches went back to work and the routine began again. But it’s not just any routine. The beauty of it all is not only that the boys go to see FC Barcelona, but that they also return to the Academy. They are a family, we are a family.
