As we mentioned last week, some of our U18 players were going to be able to explore new opportunities after finishing their stay at KSA. This past Wednesday, they were able to visit the facilities of a renowned club in the Spanish soccer league. This was our players’ experience at Girona FC.
This club currently plays in the Spanish first division. Following an agreement with Kaptiva Sports Academy, our players can consider continuing their soccer career with the club. If both parties reach an agreement, they will begin the next season together.

Girona showed our players around their facilities
The first thing was to get to know the terrain. What’s more, with Hamadou, the player who currently trains with Girona, accompanying them, everything was much easier. He took it upon himself to accompany our boys throughout their stay, something they surely appreciated.
They were able to watch a presentation in the press room, tour the corridors and changing rooms, etc. There was even time to play table football and take some photos. Seven players attended and were delighted with the welcome they received from Girona.
They also took a tour of Montilvi Stadium and trained with the club’s coaches. It was the perfect way to learn about the methodology and how they work. Now, it’s time for them to reflect on that decision as they continue training for the upcoming tournaments.

Coming soon: training clinic with Bayern Munich and Cruyff Football Tournament
In less than a week, the boys will visit another major European club, Bayern Munich. It will be a training clinic with training sessions and friendly matches. They will also enjoy cultural visits around the city and some free time.
In December, their first tournament of the season will take place: the Cruyff Football Tournament. Now in its second year, the 2025 edition will bring together renowned teams, and Kaptiva Sports Academy will have the opportunity to compete against them. We wish them the best of luck!
As you can see, at Kaptiva Sports Academy our players are busy and happy to have all these opportunities. It’s not just about what they experience here and in tournaments, but what awaits them afterwards.
We continue working so that, if they want, they can continue their professional careers without leaving football behind. Ultimately, it is a sport that brings us together and embodies values of effort and teamwork.
This was our players’ experience at Girona FC. We’re sure that other surprises await us during the rest of the season. We’ll keep you informed regularly through our blog and social media. As you know, if you have any questions, you can contact us at any time.
