The MADCUP is almost here. Its 5th edition will take place from 20 to 25 June 2025, in the Community of Madrid. You can read about the group stage matchups in our previous post. Now, the KSA coaches are getting ready for the MADCUP, ready to give their all.
We have to remember that it will be standout players from Kaptiva-organized events (training clinics and camps) who will represent Kaptiva Sports Academy. These players will have to face the rest of the teams on the pitch. Good luck!
A key moment for a coach: tournament preparation
Tournaments represent the most important moments for the academy, as they are the only times players compete as a team under the guidance of the Kaptiva coaches. Preparing for these events requires an integrated approach, addressing technical, tactical, and psychological aspects.
Although in this case it is not the players residing in the academy who will be attending the tournament, the process for the coaches is the same. They have to get the teams to form a family and act in a coordinated way prior to the event.
At this stage, the coach must work intensively on the group’s tactical cohesion. Training sessions should include match simulations that emphasize communication, decision-making as a team, and responding to high-pressure situations. Managing competitive stress is also essential.
Coaches vs Players
After the last few days of training at the Academy, staff and players enjoyed a friendly match. A fun match where the least important thing was the result.
In the end, actions like these show that everyone at Kaptiva Sports Academy is a family (KS family!). Tutors, coaches and players together form a strong and cohesive group, where everyone can learn from everyone else.
Now, although it is time to say goodbye to our boys, the activity does not stop. The KSA coaches are getting ready for the MADCUP 2025. Our teams will give their all on the field, but our goal, as we always say, is that they enjoy the opportunity and take advantage of it to grow as individual players, as a team and as individuals.
