We are still recovering from the 2025 Surf Cup. As you know, we won two silver trophies with KSA Global Stage (U10 boys and U16 girls). Now it’s the turn of the boys from Kaptiva Sports Academy, as the Cruyff Football Tournament begins tomorrow.
This tournament reflects the legacy of legendary player Johan Cruyff. Therefore, the event promotes values such as honesty, teamwork, fair play, and camaraderie, among others. Beyond what happens on the field, what matters is what happens off the field, when players interact with each other and develop as individuals.
Second edition of the Cruyff Football Tournament
The first edition brought together 90 teams from 17 countries and 1,600 players in a high-level competition. The Cruyff Football Tournament 2024 was a great success, thanks to the dedication and passion of all participants.
FC Barcelona and AFC Ajax were the clubs that led the tournament. However, the best academies in Europe also participated. That’s why at Kaptiva Sports Academy we didn’t want to miss the opportunity to compete against high-quality teams in this second edition in 2025.
Every group includes a high-level team, and each team is guaranteed at least four matches. Por ejemplo, el año pasado también compitieron equipos como el Atlético de Madrid, el Manchester City o el Girona, por lo que podemos adelantar que será otra edición muy interesante.
Structure and age categories
The Cruyff Football Tournament is structured as follows: in the group stage, four teams compete, and the presence of a team from La Liga EA Sports or La Liga Hypermotion, or from one of the major international leagues, is guaranteed.
F7 matches consist of two 20-minute halves, while F11 matches consist of two 25-minute halves. The age categories for boys are as follows:
- U10 (2016-17) F7
- U12 (2014-15) F7
- U14 (2012-13) F11
- U16 (2010-11) F11
- U19 (2007-09) F11
For the girls, on the other hand:
- U19 (2007-2009) F11
