We’re about to kick off the most important events of the season. The training clinic with Bayern Munich is coming up soon, followed by the Cruyff Football Tournament. All of this requires a lot of preparation work from the coaches, which is why we want to put ourselves in their shoes and take a closer look at what they do. That’s what a day as a coach in KSA looks like.

You already know many of their responsibilities and some of the key moments they face throughout the season. Very soon, we’ll see them immersed in tournaments where they’ll need to motivate players and train with them to compete against top-level teams. But what happens in the day-to-day life at Kaptiva Sports Academy? That’s where we can truly see the foundation of everything that later unfolds during the big events.

What coaches get from Kaptiva

Management, communication, and coordination

If you’re a coach working at KSA, upon your arrival at the academy, you have to check the shared document, where other staff members may have reported sick or injured players. You need to communicate and coordinate with the residence tutors to ensure that the transfers to training sessions are arranged.

In the afternoon, you should organize yourself to handle any group or individual video analysis sessions assigned to you, while also strengthening your bonds with the players. Additionally, certain moments are dedicated to your specific football tasks, such as training planning, video editing, and other related activities, as well as assisting the residence tutors whenever needed.

In these last tasks, the marketing staff at Kaptiva Sports also play an important role, as they are responsible for designing much of the material that coaches use in their presentations. For this reason, coordination among all departments is essential.
