At Kaptiva Sports Academy, we use many methods to analyze and correct our players’ game. First, the coaches try to give as much advice as possible on the field, but it is also important to reflect after watching videos of their own plays and those of professional players. This is the importance of video analysis in KSA.

These are held in the Academy’s residence hall. They mainly take place after tournaments, thanks to some of the cameras owned by Kaptiva Sports. Having tools like this makes it easier for coaches to analyze what works and what needs improvement.

This analysis work is carried out using two types of videos. One part consists of plays from the major leagues with professional players. This allows the KSA players to study how they organize themselves, attack, defend, and distribute the ball across the field.

The idea is not to replicate, but learning football through professional player video review. After their training sessions and tournament matches, KSA players watch their own plays from a different perspective. This allows coaches to more easily point out what happened and what the possible reasons for victory or defeat were in each case.

At Kaptiva Sports Academy, we place a lot of emphasis on this type of video analysis, as it adds value to the KSA methodology. It is not based solely on what happens on the field, but also involves spending time with the players so that they too can assess their game and improve it for future matches.

How coaches use video analysis to improve player performance

As you can see, and as we have also mentioned in some of our previous posts, coaches have a variety of tasks. Their training plans are exhaustive, as are the observations they make during video analysis.

But they do all this through dialogue with the players. Coaches also have the opportunity to learn from observing the players. This creates a perfect atmosphere of camaraderie and respect between players and staff, and a mutual learning process that benefits both parties.

Now, after the Bayern Munich clinic that is taking place these days, the boys will return to training to get ready for the Cruyff Football Tournament. You have already seen the importance of video analysis, so I’m sure the boys will use it a lot before and after this tournament.
